A balanced and wholesome meal ensures your dog is getting the right amount of nutrients while also catering to their taste buds. Today, we’ll delve into the recipe for a tasty, nutritious homemade Pork Patty that your furry friend will adore.

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb lean pork, ground
  • 1 cup peas
  • 1 cup carrots, finely chopped
  • 1 cup sweet potatoes, finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 1/4 cup of ground brown rice
  • 1/4 cup of chicken or beef broth

Method:

  1. Preparation: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Make sure to wash and finely chop the vegetables and keep them aside.
  2. Cook the pork: In a non-stick pan, cook the ground pork over medium heat until it’s browned and thoroughly cooked. Make sure to break up the pork into small, crumbly pieces. Allow it to cool.
  3. Blend the ingredients: Once the pork has cooled down, add it to a food processor along with the chopped vegetables and ground brown rice. Add in the chicken or beef broth to help the ingredients combine well. Process the mixture until it forms a coarse paste.
  4. Form the patties: Use your hands to form the mixture into small patties, adjusting the size based on your dog’s breed and size.
  5. Bake the patties: Grease a baking sheet with olive oil and place the patties onto the sheet. Bake them in the preheated oven for about 20-25 minutes, until they are golden brown and fully cooked.
  6. Serve or store: Allow the pork patties to cool completely before serving to your dog. Any remaining patties can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3-4 days or in the freezer for up to a month.

And there you have it, a protein-packed and delightful homemade Pork Patty for your dog!

Always have ample fresh water available at meal time. Do not microwave
