How much freezer space do I need?
It is commonly accepted that you need about 1 cubic foot (which is 12 inches long x 12 inches wide x 12 inches high) of freezer space for every 35 pounds of food. You can imagine a cubic foot as roughly the size of a small toaster oven.
For our 12 pound box of patties:
• You will need about 1/3 of a cubic foot for the 24 patties in that box, if you were taking the patties out and putting them in the freezer.
• Our 12 pound box of patties is packaged in TWO inner boxes. Each inner box has 12 patties in it. If you want to put each inner box in the freezer, you need 10 inches long by 6 inches wide by 6 inches high of space for each inner box.
